Weather Forecast for Jun 14: Mumbai to witness more Monsoon rains, Chennai to remain dry

Southwest Monsoon has now arrived over coastal areas of Gujarat including Valsad. Monsoon rains in Mumbai have also picked up pace. Monsoon was vigorous over the West Coast and a few areas of Northeast India, while it remained active over Kerala.

In North, a Western Disturbance is seen over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining Pakistan. With this, scattered light to moderate rainfall may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated dust storm and light thundershower activities are also possible over Haryana, Punjab and North Rajasthan.

In East and Northeast India, a trough is seen extending across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Due to this, scattered rainfall activity is expected to occur over eastern parts of Bihar, a few places of Jharkhand and Odisha.

Meanwhile, a low pressure area is persisting over East Assam. With this, we may expect moderate to heavy rains over many parts.

In central India, Southwest Madhya Pradesh, adjoining areas of Gujarat, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may receive light to moderate rain. Weather over North Madhya Pradesh and rest of Gujarat will remain hot and dry.

Live status of Lightning and thunderlightning-in-bengaluru

Down South, a trough is seen along the West Coast. Another cyclonic circulation is seen over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Due to this, moderate rains are expected to continue over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai along with Karnataka and Kerala.
