The well-marked low pressure area over the Comorin area will intensify into a depression. The system will initially move in a northwest direction and will thereafter recurve towards the north after 48 hours. Thus, good rains are expected over South Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the next 24 hours. Squally winds of 40-50 kmph gusting up to 60 kmph over South Tamil Nadu and Kerala Coast for another 48 hours. Sea conditions will also be rough. Isolated light rains are likely over South Interior Karnataka. Weather of North Interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh will remain dry.

An anti-cyclone is seen over Andhra coast which will ensure that the weather over Central India becomes dry and clear. Maximum temperatures over Vidarbha and adjoining Chhattisgarh will witness a rise again.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is seen over eastern parts of Bangladesh. A trough is also seen extending up to Odisha. Light to moderate rains are likely over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Remaining parts of Northeast India may receive isolated light rains. Meanwhile, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha will remain dry.
Coming to the northern parts, a Western Disturbance is over North Jammu and Kashmir. Also, its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Thus, light to moderate rain with isolated snow is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh while Uttarakhand may receive light rainfall activity. Weather of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan will remain dry and warm.

Talking about the metropolitan cities of India, Delhi is expected to remain warm during the day with a cool night. Mumbai on the other hand will be very warm, humid and slightly cloudy. Chennai will also have a humid day with partly cloudy sky. Kolkata is expected to remain warm. Hyderabad on the other hand will remain very warm. Bengaluru will have a pleasant night.
