Pre Monsoon showers have covered almost entire India until now. However, the intensity of showers has reduced now. Beginning with north, the Western Disturbance prevailing over East Jammu and Kashmir is moving away eastwards. Thus, rains would now reduce, and only isolated activity will occur over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, the weather of Jammu and Kashmir and the northwestern plains will now be dry. Moreover, northwesterly winds will return over plains, therefore we expect a drop in minimum temperatures over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and parts of West Uttar Pradesh. Moving to East India, a trough is extending from Sub Himalayan West Bengal to Odisha coast across Gangetic West Bengal. Another trough is seen extending from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh. In wake of these combined weather systems, we anticipate scattered rain and thundershower activities over West Bengal and isolated over Odisha. However, temperatures in Odisha will continue to touch 40°C. Meanwhile, the city of joy Kolkata may also witness light rainfall activity.
In northeast, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh are too expected to record scattered rain and thundershower activity. Moreover, isolated activity might also occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Meanwhile, weather will continue to remain dry. Meanwhile, due to the flow of northerly winds, the minimums are expected to fall further across South Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and many parts of Maharashtra. Mumbai is also expected to witness comfortable weather conditions during the day.
