Weather Forecast for Nov 14: Gaja to give rains in South Peninsula; Delhi-NCR continues battle with Pollution

Down South the severe Cyclone Gaja is now over West-central and adjoining South-west Bay of Bengal. It will move southwards towards South Tamil Nadu coast. Thus, light to moderate rains are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu along with South Kerala. Light rains are expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Up in North, the Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining North Rajasthan and Southwest Punjab. Widespread snow is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and a few places of Uttarakhand.

Light rains are possible over Northern parts of Punjab. Weather of rest of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan, Delhi would continue to remain dry. No major relief from pollution is expected in Delhi-NCR.

Heading towards Central India, an Anti-Cyclone is over Madhya Pradesh and north-westerly winds would continue over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Weather will remain dry over these places with marginal rise in day and night temperatures of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

In East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northeast Bangladesh and its adjoining areas. This system can give light rains at isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Weather of rest of East and Northeast India to remain dry.
