Weather Forecast for Nov 14: Heavy rain in Chennai, TN, Andhra; Delhi Pollution to continue

Let’s begin with the latest news of the thick layer of smog that has been enveloping Delhi NCR for the past one week.

According to weathermen, the layer of toxic smog will continue over the national capital but the intensity may reduce marginally.

Meanwhile, we can expect moderate to dense fog to persist over Punjab, Haryana and parts of West Uttar Pradesh.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana. With this, light rain is expected over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and parts of Rajasthan.

Moving down South, a well-marked low pressure area is seen over west central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Coast. Thus, moderate to heavy rains are likely over North Coastal Tamil Nadu including Chennai along with most parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rayalseema will receive light to moderate rains, while isolated showers may occur over Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The weather over Karnataka and Telangana will remain dry.

Coming to East and Northeast region, light to moderate rains are possible over Coastal Odisha, whereas isolated light rains may happen over Gangetic West Bengal. The weather over rest eastern as well as northeastern states will continue to be dry.

In Central India, here too, the weather conditions will remain dry, though partly cloudy sky is likely over southern parts of Chhattisgarh. Day over Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat will be warm and sunny, while nights will be comfortable with temperatures below 15°C at most places.
