Weather Forecast for Oct 15: Rain in Peninsular and Northeast India, Dry in Northwest, East

The cyclonic circulation continues to prevail over Kerala and a trough is extending from Lakshadweep Islands up to southwest Bay of Bengal across this system and Tamil Nadu. With this, light to moderate rains with isolated heavy showers are likely over many parts of Kerala, South Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Scattered showers are also likely over Tamil Nadu and Interior Karnataka.

Another trough can be seen extending from Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal region up to Northwest Bay of Bengal. With this, good rains will continue over Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan region along with parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Meanwhile, dry and cold northwesterly winds will continue to blow over Northwest and Central India due to prevailing anti-cyclone over Rajasthan. These dry winds are also reaching up to East India. As a result, all the regions are likely to witness dry weather conditions. Marginal drop is also expected in maximum and minimum temperatures across Northwest and Central India including Delhi-NCR.
