Weather Forecast for Oct 28: Kyant weakens into depression, mercury drop in NW, Central India

October 27, 2016 5:17 PM |

Cyclone Kyant that has weakened into a deep depression is likely to weaken further into a depression. The system will continue to track west-southwestwards and cross the Andhra Pradesh coast as low pressure area.

With this, scattered rains will commence over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of North Tamil Nadu including Chennai. Intensity of rains is likely to increase gradually.

The system is also infusing humid winds up to West Bengal, Odisha and Northeast India. As a result, good rains will continue over these areas for the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, dry weather will continue over entire Northwest and Central India. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures have shown a decreasing trend during the last 24 hours, which is likely to continue further. We can expect a marginal drop in the mercury across several areas of northern plains including Delhi-NCR.
