October 30, 2015 5:19 PM |

The low pressure area in Bay of Bengal has weakened into a cyclonic circulation and moved further eastwards. The system now lies over southeast Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast and Comorin region.

A trough is seen extending from this system across Kerala, Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh up to cyclonic circulation in North Bay of Bengal and then further up to Northeast region.

Due to this, we can expect fairly widespread light to moderate showers over Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Saturday. While, coastal parts of Odisha and West Bengal will receive with isolated light showers only.

Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura will also witness some weather activity due to the trough reaching up to the region.

Meanwhile on the western side, cyclonic storm Chapala in Arabian Sea has further intensified into severe cyclonic storm. It continue to move away from the Indian coast but has kept the wind pattern easterly that will influence the Monsoon surge over Peninsular India.

Meanwhile, anti-cyclone circulation over Rajasthan will keep the weather mainly dry over Northwest and Central India on Saturday.
