Starting with North India, a feeble Western Disturbance is moving across northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this system, spells of light rain or snowfall are expected at some places over Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Though plains of Northwest India will remain dry but a few clouds may be observed. Due to the prevailing cold and dry winds, chilly weather is already being observed over the region. Further fall in temperatures are expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The day will be pleasant with cold winds. Shallow to moderate fog is likely during early morning hours in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and North Madhya Pradesh.
Talking about East and Northeast India, remnants of an upper Air Trough over Bihar and Jharkhand will give short spells of light rain over Eastern parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Also, a Cyclonic Circulation is over South Assam, due to which light rain and thundershower will affect some places over northeast states while Arunachal Pradesh may experience rain or snowfall over higher reaches.
Coming on to Central India, as Northwesterly cold and dry winds are prevailing over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, hence, day will be pleasant, and night will be cold.
A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Chhattisgarh and adjoining region. Also, an upper air trough is extending from Bihar to Karnataka. Due to the presence of these systems, light to moderate rain and thundershower is expected over South Chhattisgarh and Odisha along with some parts of South India like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from this Karnataka and Kerala may also experience light rain and thundershower at some places due to a Cyclonic Circulation over East-central Arabian Sea.
Meanwhile an upper Air Trough is extending from Bay of Bengal to Tamil Nadu coast which will give light rain and thundershower over Tamil Nadu. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also likely to observe light rains.
