After a long wait, the chances are very likely that capital Delhi will see hefty Monsoon rains which will result in traffic chaos, water-logging and simultaneously will give relief from hot and humid weather conditions. A Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and the axis of Monsoon Trough is extending via Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to Northeast Bay of Bengal. Moderate to heavy rains with few heavy spells are expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. While light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells may also occur over parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand with scattered rains to be seen over North Rajasthan.
Meanwhile in East and Northeast India, moderate to heavy rains will continue over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and parts of Assam courtesy the Monsoon Trough. Now, good rains are very likely to commence over Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata, Jharkhand and parts of Odisha. Rest northeast India will witness light to moderate rain and thundershowers.

In Central India, a Trough is extending from East Uttar Pradesh to Andhra Pradesh across East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Hence, rain activities will increase over Chhattisgarh and many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Also, few moderate spells can be seen over Vidarbha and parts of Marathwada. While light to moderate rain with few heavy spells seems to be a possibility over Konkan and Goa with moderate showers over South Gujarat. Rest Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat to witness scattered Monsoon rains.
Down South, an off-shore Trough is extending from Konkan and Goa to North Kerala. Moderate rains with one or two heavy spells might occur over Coastal Karnataka with light to moderate showers over Konkan and Goa, South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru. Moderate rains will be seen over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana including Hyderabad. Whereas scattered light rains will be seen over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Andaman and Nicobar Islands will get to see moderate showers with light to moderate spells over Lakshadweep Islands.
