Weather Forecast June 17: Rain in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa

At present a cyclonic circulation lies over West central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh at mid-tropospheric levels. Due to this system, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers with gusty winds will occur over North Andhra Pradesh. Rest parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu including Chennai.

Moreover, due to the offshore trough extending across Konkan & Goa Coast to Kerala, moderate to heavy rains will occur along the West Coast covering parts of Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra Coast.

Due to the presence of the above weather systems, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh will also witness moderate to heavy rains. Dust storm and thundershowers will affect scattered parts of North Madhya Pradesh.

Cyclonic Storm Vayu lies over Northeast Arabian Sea. This system would be moving northeastwards and crossing coastal parts of Kutch towards mid-night. Due to which, light to moderate rains with strong winds will be affecting parts of Gujarat.

Due to the Western Disturbance moving across Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan, northern hills of India will experience rain and thundershowers. In fact, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh will also witness dust storm and rains.

In east/northeast India, a cyclonic circulation lies over East Bihar and a trough is running across Jharkhand to Gangetic West Bengal. Due to which, spell of light rain and thundershowers will affect Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Meanhwile, Odisha will witness heavy rains. Northeastern states will also continue to observe moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers with strong winds.
