Weather of Tamil Nadu has remained almost dry however isolated light rain was witnessed occasionally. Cyclonic circulation has formed over Southwest Bay of Bengal and a trough will extend up to southern parts of Tamil Nadu. There are chances of scattered light rain with few moderate spells over southern parts of Tamil Nadu as well as over parts of South Kerala between February 10 and 13.

Between January 1st and February 7, Tamil Nadu has already received 92% surplus rain whereas Kerala is deficient why 71%. We do not expect much change in rain statistics due to this spell. But few good spells are expected over Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Virudhunagar districts of Tamil Nadu.
