April to bring relief from scorching heat in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhuj, Idar, DeesaThe state of Gujarat has been witnessing above normal temperatures for quite some time now. In fact, hot and dry weather conditions have gripped the state and continue to do so. While there has been some relief from the scorching heatwave conditions over the coastal parts, the interior areas of Gujarat continue to witness temperatures above the normal levels.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature at Idar settled at 43.4°C, which is 6 degrees above normal along with which, Naliya recorded 42.5°C which is 8 degrees above normal.

Other parts of Gujarat that recorded maximums above 40-degrees include Deesa 42.5°C (6 degrees above normal), Bhuj 41.6°C (4 degrees above normal), Rajkot 41.6°C (4 degrees above normal), Ahmedabad 41°C (3 degrees above normal), Vadodara 40.6°C (3 degrees above normal), Kandla 42.6°C (8 degrees above normal).

These hot weather conditions have been attributed to the northwesterly winds coming from Sindh where temperatures are already sky high have been blowing over the Gujarat region. Now, the conditions are likely to remain the same until March end and no relief is in sight for the state of Gujarat.

However, starting from April 1, winds will change direction, and become southwesterly blowing from the Arabian Sea. These winds although will be humid but they will take the punch out of the heat prevailing over the region. Thus, while humid conditions will begin, marginal relief will begin from April 1 itself and furthermore, better weather conditions will be seen over the state of Gujarat.
