Fresh Monsoon system to give rains in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana again

September 19, 2016 5:27 PM |

Rain in HyderabadAnother spell of good Monsoon rains is approaching Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. All thanks to the formation of a fresh weather system in west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast.

The system presently seen as a cyclonic circulation will be moving in west direction and will soon cross the coast and move in land.

With this, we can expect moderate rains to start lashing several parts for Coastal Andhra Pradesh now onwards. We can also expect heavy to very heavy rains over isolated places.

Meanwhile, Rayalaseema and Telangana will receive light to moderate rains. Thereafter as the system moves further inside, intensity of rains will increase over Telangana wherein the state can get some heavy showers as well.

According to Skymet Weather, the rainy spell is likely to continue for at least next 2-3 days. The capital city of Hyderabad is also likely to record good rains during the same time frame.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been recording good Monsoon rains ever since the beginning of September. All thanks to the formation of back to back weather systems in Bay of Bengal in the month so far.

With this, both the neighbouring states are recording above normal rainfall. As on September 18, the cumulative rainfall surplus for Coastal Andhra Pradesh stands at 9%, Rayalaseema 4% and Telangana 2%.

Weathermen expect this rainfall surplus to increase further with the fresh spell of rains in offing.
