Good rains in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to continue

Southwest Monsoon has remained lavish for the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Though the intensity of these showers though has remained varied in nature.

The group of Islands is used to receiving good rains during both Southwest and Northeast Monsoon season. Moreover, rains have been following the suit as this group of Islands have been observing rains from last many days. The entire month has proved to be rainy for the Island regions.

In the last 24 hours also, moderate to heavy with isolated light rains had occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Within a span of the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday, Port Blair recorded 55 mm of rains, Car Nicobar 28 mm, Maya Bandar 12 mm, Hut Bay 10 mm, and Nancowry witnessed 9 mm of showers.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands towards the central parts of the Island. It was due to this weather system that moderate to heavy showers occurred over the scenic Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Moreover, the weathermen at Skymet Weather further reiterates that in the wake of this trough, rains of moderate with isolated heavy intensity will keep occurring over the group of Islands for the next 72 hours. Though a brief break of a day can be anticipated the weather in Andaman and Nicobar Islands will not go completely dry.
