Bihar rain

After a short break of the dry spell over the eastern states of Bihar and Jharkhand, it seems that rainy days are going to be back very soon.

For the last couple of days, both the states have been experiencing mostly dry weather with some occasional Monsoon showers only. This dry saga has not only given a rise to the prevailing temperatures but has also aroused the rainfall deficiency of both the states.

In general, also Bihar and Jharkhand are one of the most rainfall deficient states during the Southwest Monsoon season. As on August 10, Jharkhand is witnessing the deficient at 26% while Bihar is rainfall deficient by 17% which is under the normal bracket.

At present, the axis of Monsoon trough is moving across Jharkhand and is likely to persist over the area. In addition to this, a low-pressure area is also expected to form over Gangetic West Bengal which would further enhance rain activities over the region in the next 72 hours.

The intensity of rains would mainly vary between moderate along with a few heavy spells. The intensity would be more over the foothills of Bihar. Lighting strikes may also be a chance. The rain activities would also result in dropping the temperatures.
