Good showers to continue over the vacation capital Goa

Light to moderate rains is going on over Goa and adjoining areas since many days. In the last 24 hours, Goa received heavy rains also. In the past 24 hours from 8.30 am on Wednesday, Panjim in Goa recorded heavy rain of 48.4 mm.

Normally, in the month of August is 591.6 mm occurs in Goa and with the ongoing rains it is likely that Goa will surpass the monthly average. Usually, June and July are the rainiest months for Goa but this time August is also receiving good rains.

As per Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over the east central Arabian sea off south Karnataka coast. Due to this weather system, Goa is also receiving moderate to heavy spells of rain. It is anticipated that good rains will continue over Goa for another 24 to 48 hours.

The rain intensity may reduce thereafter. Presently warm and humid weather conditions are prevailing across the region. As per travel, it is not the best time to visit Goa and adjoining regions as rains are going on which may act as a barrier.

In the month of September, rain intensity will reduce significantly over Goa and that time period is the best for a vacation. The humidity levels also reduce and water sports also start which enhances the visit to Goa.
