Madhya-Pradesh post

The entire state of Madhya Pradesh has been observing dry weather conditions since the last many days. However, western parts of Madhya Pradesh have been reeling under heat wave conditions since March, with Khargone recording highest maximum temperature almost every day.

In fact, many places in Madhya Pradesh including its capital city are witnessing their day temperatures above 40˚C. Yesterday, Khargone recorded its day temperature at 43.8˚C, followed by Damoh 43˚C, Hoshangabad 42.7˚C, Khajuraho 42.4˚C, Khandwa 42.1˚C, Sagar 41.5˚C, Jabalpur 41.4˚C, Umaria 41.3˚C and Bhopal 41.2˚C.

Further also, heat wave conditions which are prevailing over the western parts of Madhya Pradesh will continue to remain the same, as Pre-Monsoon weather activities take place during the evening hours, and by that time, temperatures already see an increase.

At present, a Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation lies over parts of Rajasthan. And a trough is extending from this circulation up to parts of Madhya Pradesh.

During the last 24 hours, due to these systems, dust storm and thunderstorm activities were recorded over few western and northern parts of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, Guna recorded very light rain to the tune of 0.2 mm.

Now, today also in the wake of the trough extending from Bihar to East Madhya Pradesh, we expect dust storm and thundershowers to occur over few eastern parts of the state. Strong winds along with lightning strikes will also be seen over these parts. However, these weather activities will remain patchy in nature.

Cities of Jabalpur, Sidhi, Satna, Raipur, Rewa, Umaria and Mandla may be the ones seeing some weather activities.
