Heat wave in India

The states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh as well as areas of Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu had been witnessing heat wave conditions for quite some time. Moreover, until a few days ago, heat wave had gripped many parts of the country including the northern plains as well.

However, now heat wave conditions have been taking a backseat from many parts. The northern parts of the country have seen drop in maximum temperatures due to the ongoing rain and dust storm activities over the entire Northwestern Plains.

Due to these activities, temperatures over Gujarat have also seen a drop and here, maximums are settling around the normal levels.

Meanwhile, the southern parts of the country have also been seeing some weather activities all thanks to the Trough which is persisting across the interior parts of Tamil Nadu as well as Rayalaseema.

Due to this, interior parts have seen some good rains. Moreover, temperatures of these places have gone down to settle below the 40 degrees Celsius mark. Now also, there are just a few places which are seeing heat wave conditions.

Meanwhile, parts of Vidarbha continue to see heat wave conditions. A few parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema are reeling under heat wave conditions. Meanwhile, heat wave conditions from other parts have abated and the heat wave belt is now only shrinking and will continue to do so for the next couple of days.
