Madhya Pradesh hit by Heatwave, similar conditions to grip Maharashtra

Heatwave in India

Khargone in South Madhya Pradesh saw the maximum temperature settle at 44.5°C yesterday. This is a clear indication that heatwave is all set to make its mark over Madhya Pradesh after gripping many parts of South India, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

According to meteorologists at Skymet, these heatwave conditions are going to spread to North Madhya Maharashtra as well as parts of Vidarbha in the next few days.

With March coming to an end, Northwest and Central India have started to heat up. The reason for these high temperatures can be attributed to clear skies and lack of weather activity in Southwest Rajasthan, Gujarat as well as West Madhya Pradesh.

Moreover, the dry winds from West and West-Northwest are aiding in warm conditions as these winds are blowing from central parts of Rajasthan and South Sindh where the temperatures are already very high.

These heatwave conditions are here to stay at least for the next three to four days. Till then there is hardly any respite from the ongoing heatwave. In fact temperatures may marginally increase further in the region.
