After remaining dry for last many days, Monsoon rains have finally returned to Hyderabad that too with a bang. Last 24 hours saw heavy to extremely heavy rain and thundershowers to the tune of 90 mm.
In fact, the state capital has been witnessing rains since early morning hours as well. These showers have ushered in extremely pleasant weather conditions, with a significant drop in the mercury on Thursday.
At present, the day temperature is hovering around 24°C and we expect it to increase only by a few notches. According to Skymet Weather, weather conditions remain pleasant for showers to continue over Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana for another 48 hours as well.
Weathermen predict light to moderate rains, with isolated heavy showers during this time. These rains can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and Telangana. The system has been attracting humid southwesterly winds both from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
