Jaipur, Alwar, Churu, Sriganganagar, Bikaner to get rains for 48 hrs

Southwest Monsoon has covered the entire state of Rajasthan. Since the arrival of Monsoon across the state rain has occurred almost all over the parts. At present, the Low-pressure area has moved towards the northwest and is presently seen over North Madhya Pradesh and an associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to 5.8 km and this system is likely to move further westwards.

The axis of Monsoon trough is passing through Jaisalmer, Guna, the center of Low Pressure, Pendra, Jharsugda, and east center of Bay. In the past 24 hours fairly widespread light to moderate rain was recorded at East Rajasthan and scattered over West Rajasthan. Jalore recorded 10.8 mm of rain, Sawai Madhopur and Bhilwara 7 mm. While Bikaner, Mount Abu, Sikar, Udaipur, and Pali also recorded light rains. Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhun, Jaisalmer,  Jaipur, Alwar, Ajmer, Bikaner, Chur, and Sikar may receive rains in the next five to six hours.

As per Skymet Weather, it is anticipated that rainfall activity is likely to continue in many parts of East Rajasthan with few good spells also. The southeastern parts of Rajasthan may also receive moderate to heavy rains during the next 24 hours. Scattered rains may also occur over the western regions also.

At present West, Rajasthan is rain surplus and East Rajasthan is normal and the rain surplus may also increase and surpass the monthly rain average also. Temperatures over the northern districts have dropped due to the ongoing rains over the region.
