During the last 24 hours, southern parts of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha have experienced light rains over isolated places, due to the presence of an upper air trough extending from Karnataka Coast to North Madhya Maharashtra.

In association with the above trough, southeasterly air mass, which are moist and warm in nature are affecting over South Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Telangana region.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Yavatmal recorded 2.8 mm of rain, followed by Betul 4 mm, Nagpur 0.5 mm, Hoshangabad 0.4 mm and Amravati 0.2 mm.

However, now during the coming days, the above trough is likely to shift eastwards and extend from Karnataka Coast to North Chhattisgarh region.

Therefore, in wake of this trough, light rain and thundershower activities are likely to effect at some places over Southeast Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. In fact, similar weather conditions are likely to occur between December 10 to 13, as this same weather system will be persisting.

Talking about the temperatures over most parts of Central India, maximums are settling between high-20’s and low-30’s. Meanwhile, minimums are settling between 10˚C to 20˚C. Further, as warm and moist winds are blowing over these areas, we expect day temperatures to decrease over all these states and night temperatures to be increase.
