Light Rain To Continue In Coastal OdishaLight rain is expected to continue over parts of northern coastal Odisha for the next 48 hours. Places along the northern coast of Odisha, namely Baleshwar, Puri, Kendrapara, and Bhadrak, are expected to receive light rainfall for the next two days as well.

The cyclonic circulation which was affecting parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in past few days moved eastwards yesterday and continued to affect parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. The system has weakened and will clear out within next two days after giving light rain in Odisha over the weekend.

Also, the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam may also receive light rain at few places. A gradual rise of around 2 to 3°C in minimum temperature is expected in the region during next two to three days.

Meanwhile, a feeble western disturbance (WD) is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir by Sunday night. The WD is poised to bring rain and snow over the region for the next 72 hours. Heavy rain and snow activity is expected in some parts of J&K. Maximums in the region will drop while minimums are expected to rise by around 1 to 2°C.

Also, minimum temperatures in Gujarat and southern Rajasthan are also expected to increase. The increment in minimums in this region will be marginally due to warm winds from the south-west direction.
