During the last 48 hours, dry weather conditions are prevailing over the entire states of Madhya Pradesh. The northern parts of Madhya Pradesh are experiencing very cold nights and mornings while the days continue to be pleasant. The southern parts of Madhya Pradesh are seeing cool nights and comfortable days. The sky conditions are mainly clear with bright sunshine over the entire state.
Since no significant system is being seen over the state of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining region during the next 24 to 36 hours, hence similar weather conditions will be prevailing during the same period.
On February 3 however, an upper air Trough is likely to develop due to the mixing of cold and moist air mass over southern parts of Madhya Pradesh. This system is likely to bring along light spell of rains and thundershowers at one or two places over extreme Southeast parts of Madhya Pradesh on February 3 and 4. Places like Balaghat, Seoni, Goradongri, Shahpur, Chindwara, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria etc. are likely to see these rains. Otherwise other parts of the state are likely to remain dry.
Further, the rain intensity will be increasing and spreading over to entire eastern and central parts of Madhya Pradesh on February 4. Following this, the rains will decrease.
However, the northern and western parts of the Madhya Pradesh are likely to remain dry throughout. Due to the mixing of cold and moist winds, the day and night temperatures would be increasing over the state. Rabi crops like wheat, gram, peas, and mustard are likely to profit due to the occurrence of these rains.
