More rain in Bengaluru coming up, September looks promising

The city of Bengaluru has been receiving on and off rains for the last few days. In fact, the day before, the city witnessed a good 45 mm of rainfall. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Bengaluru witnessed trace of rain.

September is the rainiest month for Bengaluru unlike other metropolitan cities wherein Monsoon is on its withdrawal stage. Bengaluru witnesses the most amount of rainfall during the last Southwest Monsoon month.

The monthly average rainfall for September in Bengaluru stands at 212.8 mm. And Invariably it is seen that the month of September does not fail in terms of Monsoon rains over the IT Hub of India. In fact, the city has already seen a good start to rains with 48 mm of rains in the first four days of the month itself.

Now also, in the coming days, rainfall activities are expected to be seen over Bengaluru of varying intensity. A Circulation is over Tamil Nadu and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast which will become more marked. Also, a fresh Low Pressure Area is coming up. These two systems will be responsible for upcoming rains and thundershowers over the region.
