Some parts of Madhya Maharashtra also received scattered rains although Marathwada remained dry.

In the last 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Mahabaleshwar recorded 52 mm of rains, Ratnagiri 24 mm, Gondia 14 mm, Wardha 10 mm, Udgir 8 mm, Buldhana 5 mm, Nashik 2 mm, Satara 2 mm, Sangli 2 mm, Dahanu 1 mm, Pune 1 mm, and Mumbai also received 2 mm of light spells.

As per Skymet Weather, now also, conditions are favorable for some more scattered rains over Vidarbha. Meanwhile, light to moderate rains can be expected over Konkan division. Light rain at a few places may also occur over the southern districts of Madhya Maharashtra as well.

A major portion of Marathwada and North Madhya Maharashtra are expected to remain dry. Therefore, Vidarbha and Marathwada would still remain rain deficient but Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan region would remain slightly rain surplus.

As on August 8, Konkan division is 12% rain surplus, Madhya Maharashtra 1% surplus, Vidarbha is rain deficient by 5% and Marathwada is the most rainfall deficit among all the four by 18%.
