‘The Switzerland of the East’, Nagaland has been settling with dry weather conditions for quite a long time now. In fact, Nagaland is expected to experience same weather conditions in the coming days as well.

However, the northern districts have been recording isolated showers since few days. This could be attributed to the passage of Western Disturbance which was over East Tibetan region and then the remnants of the system that impacted the weather.

Now, southeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal has been aiding in the moisture content over the same, northern portion of the state. Thus, occasional isolated light rains will continue, and are expected to remain confined to northern areas of Nagaland such as Mon and Longleng for another 24 hours. During this time frame, the sky will also remain partly cloudy to cloudy.

Furthermore, days will remain comfortable over most of the places. However, few districts such as Dimapur and Kohima may witness warm and sunny days.

As per Skymet Weather, with the cloud cover over the region, the minimum temperatures will start rising marginally over many parts of Nagaland. Nights would remain cold over most areas of the state, with pleasant evenings.

Moreover, weathermen do not expect any significant rainfall activity over the region for at least the coming week.
