Dust storm in Delhi

As per the predictions by the weathermen, this year, summers are expected to begin with a bang in the country. The effect of summers will be hitting hard & can be felt even now. With mercury topping the charts and not settling below 30°C mark, people in Delhi are praying for the rain gods to bless them.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana. Moreover, a trough is also seen extending from this system up to West Uttar Pradesh. The Western Disturbance is also moving across East Jammu and Kashmir.

The atmospheric instability is also present and due to high temperatures and available moisture content, the possibility of developing convective clouds has also increased, resulting in rain and thundershower over the National Capital.

Moreover, the sand storm which is likely to occur during late afternoon or evening in parts of North and East Rajasthan also has strong chances of affecting Delhi on Saturday. Additionally, when the temperatures are high and humidity increases, cumulonimbus clouds, which are vertically developed clouds, form thereby resulting in rain and thundershowers.

The possibility of thunder squalls are high and Delhi along with adjoining regions may witness another spell of rain on March 19 and 20. Thus, people in Delhi should brace for a dusty Saturday followed by a rainy Sunday.
