Rain and snow likely over North Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand to see isolated showers

The hilly states of North India have had a few good days lately in terms of rain and snow. There have been enough Western Disturbances that have caused some rainfall as well as snowfall activity. The last disturbance also resulted in some weather activity over the hilly regions.

However, the last 24 hours remained dry for the region wherein all the three hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh as well as Uttarakhand.

Now, a Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayan region. Currently, the system is over East Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan region. Thereafter, the system is expected to move eastwards towards the Jammu and Kashmir region.

Thus, after a short break of 24 hours, scattered activities are expected to begin over the hilly states of North India. Thus, North Jammu and Kashmir is expected to receive some snow, meanwhile the southern parts are likely to see rain and thunder squall activities. Himachal Pradesh and the state of Uttarakhand are likely to see some isolated weather activity during the same time frame.

Moreover, hailstorm activity also cannot be ruled out over these areas. On the other hand, the plains of North India will continue observing dry weather conditions throughout.
