Rain in Hyderabad, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh to begin soon

April 7, 2017 3:52 PM |

hyderabad post

Rains have remained absent from the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana almost in the entire month of March. However, some rainy spells showed up in parts of these states on April 4 and April 5.

Thereafter, the weather went on to become dry due to absent of any significant weather system across the state. The capital city Hyderabad too has been reeling under the dry weather with temperatures rising and settling close to 40°C. In fact, a few regions even surpassed the 40-degree mark as well.

Similar is the case with Andhra Pradesh which has been witnessing dry weather and rising maximums. A few regions in the state here also crossed the 40-degree limit.

However, now as a trough is extending from Jharkhand to interior Karnataka across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Skymet Weather foresees some rains paving their way towards both the states.

Moreover, as the temperature have already peaked over the region and the humidity levels are also high, this leads to the development of convective clouds. This is the present scenario in both the states.

Due to the development of convective clouds, thundershowers are expected to begin pouring over the region almost any time now. However, the rainy spells are foreseen to be short lived and strictly localized.

Moreover, as per their characteristics, pre-Monsoon showers generally occurs during the late afternoon or evening hours and till that time, the mercury levels have already peaked. Hence, considering the temperature profile, not many changes are expected.

Furthermore, as these rains will be short-lived hence the weather will also start clearing up soon and thus temperatures will once again start rising.
