Kashmir Weather

Scattered light to moderate rains have been going on since the last few days over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and a few parts of Uttarakhand. In the past 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rains were seen over Kashmir and Himachal along with isolated pockets of Uttarakhand.

Now, these weather activities will continue for another 24 hours. Thereafter, the Western Disturbance will move away, and the weather will become almost dry over these areas. However, sky may become partly cloudy with isolated rains over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Uttarakhand Weather will remain dry until June 9.

On June 10, another Western Disturbance is expected which will result in light scattered rains over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Rains will increase over Jammu and Kashmir on June 11.

By June 12, rain intensity will once again decrease, and only isolated rains will be seen. However, this system will also move away by June 13 resulting in dry weather once again over the region. From now on, the frequency and intensity of Western Disturbances will reduce with their impact over the Northern Plains remaining very less.

This is the ideal period for tourists to take a trip to the hills as the intensity of rains will reduce and only light to moderate showers will be seen. Moreover, the incidences of landslides and mudslides are also very less making it a good time to travel.
