UP rains

Since last many days, the state of Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing dry weather conditions. However, in the wake of successive Western Disturbances, isolated rain and thundershower activities were observed over northwestern parts of the state at few occasions.

As the approach of the different weather systems is still continuing, we expect rain and thundershower activities to lash the state once again.

According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance will approach the Western Himalayas today. This system will induce a Cyclonic Circulation over the northern plains of North Rajasthan and adjoining areas. In addition to these systems, a Trough will extend up to West Uttar Pradesh. Due to the combination of all these systems, we expect, rain and thundershowers at many places of West UP on March 25.

Places such as Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Sultanpur will see rains.

Thereafter, the Trough will shift towards east. Similarly, the other two systems will also start moving away eastwards. Due to this movement, rain activities will increase over the western parts of Uttar Pradesh. Gradually, the eastern parts will also start receiving rain and thundershowers.

These rains will not be widespread, but patchy in nature and will continue for a short period of time. Moreover, in wake of all these activities, temperatures will drop by 2℃ to 3℃, thereby leading to pleasant weather conditions for the residents for next two to three days.

After the passage of the above weather systems, weather will gradually start clearing up over the state, thereby leading to clear sky conditions. The temperatures will also start rising due to clear skies and bright sunshine.
