On and off rain and dust storm activities for the past few days over the state of Rajasthan. There is a Western Disturbance in the hills of North India and a Circulation over the plains of North India.
Today also, dust storm and thundershower with strong gusty winds along with some rain may occur in some parts of Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dhaulpur and Karauli during next two to three hours.
A few more areas of North, Central and Northeast Rajasthan may see light to moderate rain and thundershowers along with dust storm activities. Cities of Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jaipur, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Sawai Madhopur may see some isolated to scattered activities today.
After today, Jaipur weather is expected to become dry and hot for the coming days of May as now Western Disturbances may not make appearances, which in turn will result in no circulations.
Presently, Rajasthan is largely surplus and is the only state in India to see figures above 100 percent excess. This figure can be attributed to the presence of Western Disturbances and their Cyclonic Circulations sometimes over the northern plains of the country.
Dust storm activities however were not as severe as they were during the same time last year. In fact, rainfall and thundershowers were more as compared to dust storm activities.
