In fact, the month of May kick-started with rains followed by a dry week and then rains began appearing once again. The last 24 hours were rainy for the state too. The capital of the state, Patna recorded light rainy traces of 1 mm within a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday.

Skymet Weather reiterates that the rains that occurred in the last 24 hours were due to a cyclonic circulation which is over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. A trough is also seen extending from Haryana to this cyclonic circulation across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Furthermore, Skymet Weather iterates that conditions are favorable for scattered light to moderate showers to make an appearance over the northeastern parts of Bihar adjacent to Sub-Himalayan West Bengal today during the late afternoon and evening hours. Lightning strikes along with strong winds are also expected. These rains and thundershowers are likely to continue until the next 24 hours.

Isolated rain is also expected to occur over the central districts of the state for the next 24 hours. This may even lead to a marginal fall in the temperatures.
