Though Southwest Monsoon has recovered and has achieved break even but Maharashtra has not performed well so far. All its pockets including Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Vidarbha are significantly deficient. In fact, the Madhya Maharashtra sub division is deficient by a whopping 60 percent.
Some rains are likely on June 23, 24 and 25. Good rains are expected at places today, mostly Konkan areas. Tomorrow, Madhya Maharashtra may see isolated heavy rains and South Konkan may also see some heavy rains including the city of Mumbai. Both Vidarbha and Marathwada will also see some rains.
On June 25, Vidarbha and Marathwada will reduce but rains will continue over Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra. Heavy showers can be seen over Konkan including Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Alibag, Vengurla and adjoining areas. For Madhya Maharashtra cities including Pune, Nashik, Sangli, satara, Kolhapur, Solapur and Ahmednagar will see good rains.
