Rains knocking doors over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh

A fresh weather system is the form of a Western Disturbance is expected to approach the country on March 24. This system will induce a Cyclonic Circulation over Western parts of Rajasthan. Therefore, by the evening or night of March 24 we expect scattered rains to commence over North and West Rajasthan as well as over parts of West Haryana and West Punjab. By morning of March 25, rain intensity will pick up pace over these areas.

On March 25, we expect scattered rains with one or two short spells over Delhi and NCR including areas of Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram. Many parts of Punjab, Haryana, isolated pockets of North Rajasthan as well as scattered over Western parts of Uttar Pradesh will see good rains. Gradually the rains will shift eastwards covering Central parts of Uttar Pradesh by evening or night, the same day.

After giving widespread rains on March 25, weather will once again go dry from March 26 onward, over entire Northwest Plains including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. Western parts of Uttar Pradesh however may continue with scattered rains and thundershower activities on March 26 also.

By latter part of the day of March 26, the Western Disturbance would have moved away completely from the Indian mainland, rendering Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh dry once again.
