With a fresh western disturbance persisting over the western Himalayas, rainfall activity has also begun over the plains of North India. In fact, the city of Agra yesterday not only saw rains but also observed some hailstorm activities.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am yesterday, Patiala, Ambala, Karnal, Ludhiana, Meerut and a few areas did observe traces of rains. Other parts also saw some rainfall activities.
More areas are expected to see some rainfall activities today as well as tomorrow. Moreover, the hills will see more rains during both these days. There may be slight reduction around January 26 and 27, however, another system will mark its onset on January 27, which will give rains until January 30.
Thus, both the hills and the plains of north India will once again see an increase in rainfall activity around January 28 and these conditions are expected to continue until January 30.
The second half of the spell is expected to be more intense as compared to today and tomorrow. In fact, Hailstorm activity may also be expected to be seen over both of the plains as well as the hills of north India. States of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand are expected to be affected due to this upcoming spell.
