Rajasthan, Haryana witness rain, dust storm, weather to clear up now

INSIDE RAJ

Weather conditions have remained hot over the state of Rajasthan and Haryana for the last few days.  So much so, many parts of Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Haryana have been witnessing heatwave conditions. Maximums have been settling over the 40°C-mark over several parts.

However, both the neighbouring cities have got relief from the sky-high mercury, with the fresh spell of pre-Monsoon activities. In particular, Jaisalmer and adjoining cities of Haryana have been hit by dust storm on Wednesday.

According to Skymet Weather, an active Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir that has induced a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Haryana. Due to this, the moisture has increased over the areas of the region.Meanwhile, mercury continued to settle in early 40s.

Now, as reiterated by weathermen, whenever the mercury peaks and there the level of humidity over the region has also risen, it leads to development of convective clouds over the region. This is followed by rains and thundershowers or even thunder storm.

Similarly, both the states witnessed rains of varying intensity along with dust storm activities during the last 24 hours.  This has also led to significant drop in maximum temperatures, ushering in major relief from heatwave like conditions.

Moving further, the cyclonic circulation is likely to become weak during the next 24 hours and thus, the weather will start clearing up. The Sky will become mostly clear up by Friday and the temperatures will once again rise but it will a marginal one.

As per weathermen, cool northerly winds from snow-clad Himalayas will be now blowing across the northwestern plains that will keep the temperatures under control. Therefore, we do not expect re-occurrence of the heatwave conditions during the next few days.
