State of Rajasthan is coming up for a spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days. Central parts of East Rajasthan and its border areas with West Rajasthan will witness monsoon fury, more than the other parts of the state. Localized flooding, inundation, and stormy conditions will disturb normal life, including commute and connectivity.

The low pressure area over Madhya Pradesh has now moved to the central parts of East Rajasthan and adjoining border areas of Madhya Pradesh. This is supported by a well-marked cyclonic circulation. The monsoon trough is passing through this low pressure area. The western disturbance over the mountains is also providing outside support to sustain the strength of the system. Under the combined influence of these systems, intense weather activity will impact large parts of the state over the next three days, between 14th and 16th July 2025. The remnant effect will even be felt on 17th July over pockets of West Rajasthan.

The places at risk will include Ajmer, Kota, Bundi, Tonk, Baran, Jhalawar, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Jalore, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Pali, and Jodhpur. The northeastern parts of the state, including the capital city Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Sikar, Dholpur, and Sawai Madhopur, will also have moderate showers embedded with isolated heavy rainfall. The weather system will slowly move west-northwest towards the far most areas of West Rajasthan and the border region on 16th July. Later, it will start weakening rapidly and is likely to get diffused over that region between 17th & 18th July. Broad clearance of weather conditions over the state is expected from 18th July 2025.
