Scorching summer heat to visit Mumbai, maximums to rise significantlyThe month of April has been good enough for the city of dreams. Mumbai weather has remained on the warmer side. However, throughout the first week of April, the maximum temperature has not crossed the 35-degree mark.

While many areas were observing severe heatwave conditions, Mumbaikars were having a wonderful time with the weather being just warm. These weather conditions can be attributed to the inflow of northwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea which were relatively cool in nature.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Mumbai settled at a mere 32.7 degrees which is just a notch above the normal levels. As far as the minimums are concerned, Mumbaikars have been enjoying quite a pleasant evening with the minimum settling at 19 degrees which is five degrees below the normal levels.

However, weather gods are likely to bring in some intense summer heat over the region. Maximum temperatures are expected to rise significantly over Mumbai during the next 24 hours.

The change in the weather conditions will be attributed to the change in the wind pattern. Now the winds will become northeasterly and will blow from the land which are quite hot in nature. Thus, during the next 24 hours, maximum temperatures will increase significantly.

In fact, the possibility of the maximum temperatures settling around 39 degrees also cannot be ruled out. In a nutshell, Mumbaikars should brace themselves for some hot weather in the coming days.
