The scattered light rain observed in last few days in Telangana and Rayalaseema is expected to continue for some more days. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, light to moderate rain along with isolated heavy showers are expected over rain deficient region.
A trough is seen extending from Rayalaseema up to Gulf of Mannar across Tamil Nadu and this will be responsible for causing good weather activity over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema.
After good rains in June, rainfall activity in July and August remained subdued due to which rainfall deficiency by 3rd September stood at 26 percent for Telangana and 22 percent for Rayalaseema. In the wake of this prolonged spell of rain, both the regions are likely to witness rainfall deficiency dipping gradually.
Good rain will be observed in Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Warangal from September 5 to September 9.
