The capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad had recorded highest rainfall of 114 mm on August 26. Since then, on and off good Monsoon rains have been occurring over Medak, Nizamabad, Hanamkonda and Hyderabad. Moreover, the state has been experiencing comfortable weather conditions during the last few days.

In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, the city recorded 15 mm of rainfall, Medak 21 mm of rainfall, followed by Hanamkonda 8.4 mm and Nizamabad 1.5 mm.

These weather conditions can be attributed to a low pressure area over which is seen over South Odisha and adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh. Further, this system is likely to move gradually towards Vidarbha region. So, due to its influence, light to moderate Monsoon rains are likely to continue over Telangana as well as Hyderabad during the next 24 hours.

After 24 hours, these good Monsoon rains are likely to pick up pace further over northern parts of Telangana. Therefore, districts such as Adilabad, Ramagundam, Nizamabad and Medak will settle with good Monsoon rains.
