Holi is a Hindu festival of colors, marking the advent of spring. It is associated with the killing of Holika, the sister of demon king Hiranyakashipu and signifies the victory of good over evil. People across India celebrate this festival with much fanfare.

During late afternoon hours, rain generally washes away the colours of Holi in parts of North and East India. Short sharp showers are witnessed right when we are done playing with colors. This year Holi will be celebrated on March 24, when most parts of the country will be unusually dry.

Kerala will be the only part of the country to witness good showers at few places and scattered rains in rest of the state.
