July 8, 2013 5:18 PM |

Relief work that has been hampered due to incessant rain may pick up pace in Uttarakhand as  rain is expected to reduce in the next 24 hours. Rain will also reduce over most parts of central India except east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. Rain will occur at many places in northeast during the next two days. Temperatures in Delhi would fall with one or two spells of rain.

The Western Disturbance over north India that is bringing rain over Uttarakhand for last two to three days would reduce and increase over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana parts of Punjab and east Rajasthan.

Due to increase in rainfall and clouds, temperatures in north and northwest India along with capital New Delhi will drop. Sultry weather is expected here in next few days.

Monsoon rains are expected to occur over West Bengal, Sikkim and northeast states during the next two days. Some places in these regions could get heavy to very heavy rain. Temperatures would come down due to increase in rainfall activities in these regions.

In south Peninsula, monsoon rain will remain intact along the west coast with isolated heavy rain over coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa. It will remain active over interior parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Maharashtra. Marathwada, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu would remain low on rain. Temperature will rise in the region and moist winds from west would make conditions humid.
