Well marked low pressure in Bay to revive rains in Kolkata, West Bengal

Rains to now reduce in Kolkata

West Bengal including Kolkata is experiencing dry weather for last many days. The people across the joyous city are waiting for rain God’s to pour some rains now. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, a well-marked low-pressure area which is over southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to move in north-northeast direction along East Coast.

In wake of this weather system, rains are likely to commence in Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata from November 14 and the long dry spell will come to an end. Along with the city of joy Kolkata, southern districts such as Diamond Harbour, Contai, 24 Parganas would too witness light to moderate with one or two heavy spells are expected.

It is anticipated that the rain intensity may further increase on November 15 over Kolkata and adjoining cities. Thereafter, the rain intensity will reduce significantly but scattered rains will continue over Gangetic West Bengal. The sky conditions will remain cloudy to partly cloudy throughout the next few days.

The day temperatures are settling in lower 30s presently. With the upcoming showers the temperature levels may come down below 30°C. However, the weather during the day will be warm and humid. Temperature levels during the night will also reduce and will settle in the range of 16°C to 18°C, leading to cool night.
