Floods have lashed the state of Texas during the entire month of May. The weather system over the region doesn’t seem to be in any mood to stop its wrath. The similar strong winds of around 100 kmph have been lashing the state in June like it had been in the month of May.

The month of May has been the wettest for the state of Texas as more than 135 trillion litres of rainfall has been poured across the state, enough to cover the entire state with 8 inches of water.

On Thursday, the southeast coast of Texas received severe thunderstorm activity forcing the government to declare ‘state of disaster’ in 31 counties of Texas.

With four people missing and six confirm deaths, the thunderstorm has triggered mass flooding aiding the state of disaster in the region.

The region is expected to have more rains as the moist and warm air from the Gulf of Mexico will aid the weather activity over the region. This will in turn result more rains for Texas in the days to come.
