Weather Forecast for Feb 24: Pollution to spike in Delhi, rains ahead for Kolkata

Beginning with North India, where a feeble Western Disturbance can be seen affecting the hills. The higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive light rains and snow. Meanwhile, dry weather is being forecast for Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Pollution will spike in Delhi as wind speed becomes lighter. Fog might appear over these regions during early mornings and evenings.

Talking about Central India, where a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Vidarbha. Also, a Confluence of winds is taking place over the region. Under the influence of all these systems, East Vidarbha, East Madya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will receive light to moderate rains. Moreover, a few places over here might even see hailstorms. Meanwhile, Mumbai will see a warm and clear day.

Coming onto East India, where a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Bihar, another is over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Simultaneously, an anti-Cyclone lies over Bay of Bengal. Under the influence of these systems, Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand will see light to moderate rains. Heavy rains are forecast for Odisha. Kolkata might also see some rains. Similar rains are ahead for entire Northeast India, including the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Lastly in South India, where light rains are forecast for South Tamil Nadu coast as well as South Kerala. Other parts of South India to remain dry and warm with a partly cloudy sky. Cloudy yet dry weather ahead for Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
