Weather Forecast for January 19: Central and East India rains to intensify and spread out

The feeble Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards. It could bring scattered light rain and isolated snowfall over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

The induced cyclonic circulation can be seen over West Rajasthan. In wake of this weather system, Southeast Rajasthan will receive scattered light rain and thundershowers on Tuesday.

The plains could observe partly cloudy skies. But, Delhi and adjoin West Uttar Pradesh could receive light rains.

A cyclonic circulation can be seen over west Madhya Pradesh and an anti-cyclone over coastal areas of Odisha. Two different streams of winds have created a confluence zone over Central and parts of Peninsular India. Accordingly, the intensity of rainfall will increase and spread out.

We can expect scattered light to moderate rains over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh. The rainfall belt will extend up to Jharkhand, Bihar and parts of Odisha. Tomorrow we can expect some light rainfall over Kerala as well.

Eventually, the belt of rain will shift towards Northeast India. As of now, this region will remain mainly dry.

The intensity could increase and visibility could further in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Moderate to dense fog also likely in Northeastern parts on Tuesday morning.

No major change in temperatures in Northwest India. Day temperature in Delhi will be at 18°C. Minimum will rise to about 8°C. Maximum in Patna will be 21°C, while minimum will be at 13°C

There will be marginal drop in day temperatures over Central India.

Day temperature in Mumbai will 28°C, minimum will be around 15°C. In Hyderabad and Bangalore night temperature will be at 20°C and 16°C respectively.
