October 30, 2017 6:12 PM |

Talking about the weather conditions across India, Western Disturbance prevailing over North India has moved away. Dry north westerly winds will once again start blowing over north western plains but the speed of winds will remain light. Therefore, we do not expect much relief from the ongoing pollution levels over Delhi. Mist and haze are likely to persist at many places across the northwestern plains. Isolated pockets of Punjab and Haryana may also witness shallow fog in morning hours.

Talking about East India, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over Bangladesh and a trough is extending up to Bihar. However the weather system is likely to weaken and hence the ongoing rainfall activity over northeastern states will subside after 24 hours. Scattered rain may also occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast Bihar during the next 24 hours. Weather of remaining parts of East India will remain dry. Shallow fog is also expected over in some parts of Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha.

In central India, dry and sunny weather is prevailing. The sky conditions will remain clear. Due to the prevailing northerly winds there will be a marginal drop in day and night temperature levels.

Down South, a cyclonic circulation can be marked over southwest Bay of Bengal off South Tamil Nadu coast and a trough is extending from this system up to south coastal Arabian Sea. In wake of these weather systems, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells will continue over the coastal stations of Tamil Nadu. Interior parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka will also receive scattered rains. South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema may also witness isolated showers. Meanwhile, weather across Telangana, North Interior Karnataka and Maharashtra will remain dry.
